Idea Page One.

I haven't written anything for these pages because all the information is on these pages. My advice is to click on them so they appear larger, then they are easier to read.

The Digital Side.

In case my film didn't come out I shot each image on digital first. This was really helpful to see how the pose would work out, in case it didn't enabling me to recreate it if I felt I needed to. I already had some ideas in my head but a lot was made up on the day. We would both be discussing different ideas and throwing them back and forth to each other until we finally developed the right one. I had a scrap piece of paper on which I had already decided what images would need to have words in them and which ones I would place on later. This was really helpful as it made the whole shoot move along more swiftly.

Words.

Here are the words that I wrote and then scanned in.

The Final Image.

I hope people look at this image without noticing all the little mistakes there are. To me, there are two big mistakes. The first being, that the room was so bright, so I covered up the flash on my camera. The last thing I wanted was over exposed images but I think this fear has led to underexposed images. I had to edit most of them in photoshop to pick out some of the highlights. Another major fault, which was only realised when I was scanning my negatives in, was that because I had taken my images from first to last, they all came out backwards. It was a shame, but easily repairable. I had to crop each image, re-arrange them, then lay them out as before. It doesn't mess the final too much it was just neater before. I would definitley like to do something like this again, and I would learn from my mistakes.
